Bojana Kunst is the new Professor for Choreography and Performance

From winter semester 2012, Prof. Dr. Bojana Kunst has taken up the professorship of Choreography and Performance. She worked as a researcher at University of Ljubljana, where she also received a PhD. Her dissertation is named Philosophy, Aesthetics and Art Between Organic and Technological, Aesthetics of the Body and the Art of Postmodernism. After her habilitation treatise at the University of Primorska, she taught at various art academies and universities. At the same time she worked as a dramaturg, collaborating with performance and visual artists. Her last position was as lecturer at the University of Hamburg.

30 Years of the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies

The Institute for Applied Theatre Studies celebrated its 30th anniversary with a welcoming speech, lectures, performances and an anniversary party.

Guest Professors in Winter Semester 2012

This winter semester, we are pleased to welcome the choreographer and filmmaker Antonia Baehr and the dancer and choreographer Jonathan Burrows as guest professors at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies.
Antonia Baehr studied at Valie Export at the University of Arts (Universität der Künste) Berlin. In her work, she analyzes the relationship of fiction in daily life and in theatre and often she collaborates with different artists.

In his work, Jonathan Burrows also cooperates with various artists such as Jan Ritsema and Matteo Fargion. In his artistic project "Writing Dance", his focus is on the research of choreographic and compositional processes with a view to communicating artistic work to the audience.

Admission Test 2013

The schedule for this year’s admission test will be online from January 17, 2013.

For Choreography and Performance (CUP),BA ATW and MA ATW, registration will be possible until February 28, 2013. Please send your portfolio by March 31, 2013 (date of post mark).
